Curriculum Vitae
Our Team
I started training in martial arts in 1994 when I took up Tae Kwon Do under Master John Gannon in my hometown Leicester. In 2000 and 2003 I achieved my black belt 1st DAN and 2nd DAN respectively. I continued to train regularly with Master Gannon until 2005 when I started at Leeds University. During this period I competed in numerous European Martial Arts Association competitions, winning medals in traditional forms, team forms and points fighting. I also became an instructor at Mater Gannon’s club and continue to train with him, and teach for him, whenever I am in Leicester.
I started Kickboxing in 2005 with the University club and have competed in several competitions during my time here, including winning the lightweight category in a Black Belt Schools International series event in 2006.
In 2008 I became an instructor at the club, and was also awarded my black belt 1st Degree Black Belt in June of the same year.
